What the bank said

The Board of Governors said the decision focused on maintaining Rupiah exchange rate stability amid increasing global uncertainty, to achieve the 2026-2027 inflation target and foster economic growth.

It noted that CPI inflation was 2.92% in December 2025, within the 2.5%±1% target corridor, with core inflation low at 2.38%.

Guidance. The Bank said it would consider room for further BI-Rate reductions, with inflation forecast to stay within the 2.5%±1% corridor in 2026-2027.
