What the bank said

The Executive Board said the Swedish economy grew at a solid pace at the end of 2025 and that inflation, lower than expected in December, was close to the 2% target.

It said the outlook from December was largely unchanged and that the current rate level contributes to economic activity strengthening and inflation stabilising around the target.

It noted that uncertainty had increased, citing US trade and foreign policy, the krona and more expansionary fiscal policy in Sweden and abroad.

Guidance. The Riksbank said the policy rate is expected to remain at 1.75% for some time to come, in line with its December forecast.

“The policy rate is expected to remain at this level for some time to come, in line with the forecast in December.”
