What the bank said
The Executive Board said inflation in Sweden was low, largely because of fiscal policy measures, and that economic activity was somewhat weaker than normal, with first-quarter growth below expectations.
It said supply disruptions linked to the war in the Middle East had raised inflationary pressures and increased the risk of inflation becoming too high.
Against this backdrop it judged it well-balanced to hold the rate for now while raising the forecast path somewhat.
Guidance. The Riksbank said the probability of the policy rate being raised later this year had increased compared with its March assessment.
“The forecast means that the probability of the rate being raised later this year has increased compared to the assessment in March.”
