What the bank said

The Board said inflation was expected to remain stable near the target, with CPI inflation at 2.0% in January, and forecast 2.2% for 2026.

It raised its 2026 growth forecast to 2.0% from 1.8%, citing a strong semiconductor sector, and said risks from Seoul-area housing prices, household debt and exchange-rate volatility remained.

Guidance. The Board said it will make its decisions while supporting the growth recovery and closely monitoring policy conditions and their impact on inflation and financial stability.
